Drones and ROVs and Arduinos

A journey building drones and ROVs and other open hardware and Arduino based stuff

The OpenROV is another open hardware/software project, this time it’s for a submersible remotely operate vehicle.

It’s a bit more easy to develop for than the Arducopter and it’s still in its infancy so instead of buying a full kit as I did for the Arducopter, I decided I’d try to source all the parts myself, cut the body with laser cutter and do experiments.

Also the controlling brain is running on a Node.js application and me being a web developer, this is closer to my experience than the complex mathematical PID controller’s code of the Arducopter.

I’ll keep a build log and will update the list of parts I bought and the status of the development.
