Drones and ROVs and Arduinos

A journey building drones and ROVs and other open hardware and Arduino based stuff

Arducopter has been the spark that started this new hobby of mine.

It’s a open hardware/source project founded by Chris Anderson of Wired.com fame. Its brain is an Arduino board (well, an ATMega328 put on a board with much more components than a standard Arduino), and the firmware is completely developed with the Arduino “language” (no scary C++ code).

At the moment I’ve just ordered a lot of parts, but haven’t started working on it yet.

I’m doing everything in the open, so if you are interested you can follow my journey from zero to the sky on this blog. I’m also maintaining a kind of status page with parts I got, how much I spent already and how far I am in the assembling/development.
