A journey building drones and ROVs and other open hardware and Arduino based stuff
One of the coolest features of the ArduCopter is that, via the Mission Planner, you can see where the copter is, see its attitude, see the logs of how it flies, and in the future be able to fly by wire or to program the mission in real time.
But in order to do so, another piece must be added to the mix: telemetry.
The telemetry kit I just received is made of 2 Xbee already configured to talk one another: one stays on the ArduPilotMega, the other is connected to the ground station. In theory the range in open ground should be 600-700 meters.
Now I need to start building the thing.
