OpenROV gets funded
Today OpenROV got funded on Kickstarter. As you can see from the screenshot above, it received 111622 USD of pledges (more than 5 times the funding needed to start the project).
By the end of September 118 persons will receive either a fully assembled OpenROV or a complete kit: it will be exciting to see what all these new users will do with their new underwater vehicle.
Since I’m trying to build it on my own, sourcing all parts myself, I didn’t pledge for the complete kit: I pledged instead for the 100USD reward which is a red beanie with the OpenROV logo on it.
On another news, I’ve ordered all the propulsion system and the acrylics, and they should arrive end of this week or next week. I’ll keep you posted
